Every morning at 4:30 am, I tune the sat1 reciever to the coordinates needed to catch Martha Stewart later in the day. Recording Martha Stewart is one of my duties. I control television, you see.

Every morning at 5:00 am, sat1 begins to air Japanese television. I have no idea if this broadcast is intended for Japan itself, or maybe for a Japanese language station here in the US.

All I know is that I love Japanese TV. Everything is giant, garishly colored graphics, everyone is overexcited and giddy. It's all high paced and explosive and nigh uncomprehensible.

There are a lot of highlight reels from Sumo matches.

I'm not particularly fascinated with the content of the shows, it's the ambience and rapidfire chaos that I find fascinating.

I'm currently looking into the logistics of constructing a wall of televisions, each broadcasting a different Japanese television channel. I do this for science.

Here is a brief summary of recent events:

As of this coming Friday, I will have worked a solid month with no days off.

I'd like to have some time off, as my Xbox is fixed and playing Gears of War with Matt sounds like a good time.

I finally got a pair of proper studio monitors. I wish i had time to renovate the studio and install them.

I wonder if the gaming group thinks I am an asshole for vanishing for a month+. I'm extremely bitter about that, because I was having a phenomenal time running games.

I am going to spend my overtime money on a stupidly huge hdtv. Like, 50 inches. At least. I deserve that much. Or maybe I'll buy a 42" tv and a ridiculous 5.1 stereo system.

Nothing really happening. All I can remember doing lately is sleeping and working.

Maybe I'll go be a bass player for a heavy metal band.

Over the course of the past month and a half, I've signed into xanga several times with the intention of writing something down.

But all I ever feel like writing is several paragraphs of curse words in all caps.

Now it is 1984...Are you ready for the Third World War?

I haven't been playing guitar nearly as much as I'd like to. Last night was the first time I'd got a chance to touch the thing in a week or so, and I'm disgusted with how sloppy I'm getting.

I set up the computer in the living room for basic recording. It's not as sophisticated as the setup in the studio, but it's enough to record snippets of practice and goofing around. I'm thinking I'm gonna upload pieces of practice here every day or so as a motivation to not let myself get sloppy. The rationale being that I'm not going to want to put garbage up where everyone can hear it, so I'll be less likely to let myself slide into rottenness.

Last night was sitting around playing Stray Cats and Reverend Horton Heat songs. No actual practice, just getting myself comfortable with playing again.
